Some people are cemetery visitors and some are not. We have become cemetery visitors. We welcome you to visit Greg's grave whenever you are in town. We are so grateful for all who continue to pray for Greg, who leave flowers at his grave or remember him with daily toasts. Greg is buried at Naperville Cemetery 705 Washington Street, Naperville IL.
| Wake - |
Greg was waked Tuesday April 13th from 3-9 at Frederick Jones Funeral Home in Naperville. Over 1000 people came to his 6 hour wake. Friends and family drove or flew in from all over. His babysitter who took care of him until he was 2, old neighbors from Park Ridge, elementary, jr. high and high school teachers, his current engineering firm co workers, family from Florida, Minnesota and Wisconsin and dear friends from all over the country. We were blessed, honored and strengthened by the love and support of the wonderful people Greg surrounded himself with. Ryan B. prepared two photo posters with several large 8x10 pictures of Greg. Father Dennis conducted a prayer service at 7 pm followed by an uplifting speech. Mike D. on trombone and Greg's brother Mike on the organ played "I Remember Clifford" and "Joy Spring" afterwards. Beautiful flowers and plants filled the room, one of which was an orange and blue trombone floral.

Funeral - |
Greg's funeral was held Wednesday April 14th, 2004 at Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Cathedral in Chicago. Afterward we came home to a wonderful luncheon prepared by our neighbors, coordinated by Debbie S. It was a warm sunny day so there were tables outside and inside filled with food from our very supportive and thoughtful neighbors and friends. Later that night, Greg's brother Mike began playing the piano. We all sang "Happy Together" and "Fire and Rain". The room was filled with his family and friends. It was good to sing together and sad to sing “We always thought we’d see you again,…” Thanks to Mike for picking the songs, seemingly randomly. It felt like a little closure after such a tragic few days. You can access Greg's eulogy and the funeral reading from Letters from Family and Friends.
