Lincoln Junior High School
Greg attended Lincoln
for 6th, 7th and 8th grades. His interests were playing sports, reading about
sports, watching sports, and playing piano and trombone. He did not like
Art. In sixth grade he wrote that he wanted to be a football player when he grew
up, Tom Waddle was his favorite Chicago Bears player.
In junior high he wrote book reports from
books written by authors Tom Clancy, John Grisham, Michael Crichton and many
more. He again wrote a lot of papers about sports, Walter Payton, the Cubbies,
the Olympics, Greg's own soccer, baseball or football teams. He wrote
about his football card collection, the game Magic the Gathering and family
vacations.
Greg played middle weight football for Lincoln and loved it.
He was one of the best Mr. Z. had seen in that position and Mr. Z had hoped Greg
would play in high school. Greg played trombone in both the Jazz and symphonic
bands and he played piano at home.
He and his brother Mike had many great duets on the piano during the Jr. high
years. Some of Greg's junior high friends include Mike D., Tim H., Brad B.,
Matt M., Spencer R., Pat Mc., Eric A., and Dan A.
