Greg's Early Years

Greg attended the University of Illinois from August 1999 to December 2003. He graduated with a degree in English and a minor in Cinema Studies. He began U of I as an electrical engineering student,  switching to English midway through his sophomore year. Greg played trombone with the Marching Illini for 5 seasons. He played trombone for the Men's and women's basketball pep bands. the volleyball band, as well as Jazz bands and symphonic band.

Going through Greg's U of I papers, one appreciates his interest in English, Film and Woman's Studies.
It is a joy to look through his spiral notebooks, seeing the notes from class in the front of each spiral, with Fantasy Football player calculations in the back of each spiral.  Also in the back of many spiral notebooks one finds his efforts on choosing classes and schedules which would allow an Engineering turned English major to graduate in 4 and  1/2  years!  He did it with a lot of hard work amongst all the fun.

1999-2000 - Greg lived in the dorm ISR as a freshman.

2000-2001 - He shared a lovely basement apartment his sophomore year with Matt Ki. and Drew S.
