Victim Impact Statements
We were asked to tell the court how our lives have changed and how Greg's
death has impacted our lives. Milt's, Carol's and Mike's statements are part of
the court record and had to be filed with the States Attorney's office 6 weeks
before trial. Chris, Paul and Jenny wrote statements as well.
By law, only family members can submit statements to the court. Because Jenny
and Greg were not officially engaged, her statement could not be part of the
court record. She had to testify, answering the prosecutor's questions, to let
the court know her feelings.
